POOL HOURS EXTENDED
Beginning Tuesday, August 10th, the pool hours will be extended as follows:
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday: 10am to 4pm (Keycard Access Only)
Tuesday, Wednesday:  4pm - 8pm Pool Monitor
Friday: 5pm to 9pm - Pool Monitor
Saturday: Noon to 5pm - Pool Monitor

Keycards may be purchased from Hill Country Homeowners Association Management.  Pool Tickets may still be used evenings/weekends, or redeemed with full credit applied for keycard.  Pool is for the exclusive use of residents, property owners, and their immediate family members. 

COMMUNITY CENTER
For health and safety reasons the community center will remain closed until further notice.

BURN PILE CLOSED
Due to illegal burning resulting in the dispatch of Burnet County ESD9 the burn pile has been closed.  Residents and property owners must find other ways to dispose of their brush.  Dumping of any type of brush  on the waterfront is not allowed.

Pool tickets may be purchased on the Hill Country Home Owners website and  picked up at the pool during regular pool hours. Pool waivers may be signed online, or signed at the pool.

Hill Country Homeowners Association Management will mail and email the Annual Meeting Notice, Absentee Ballots and Electronic Ballots to all property owners. Monday September 28: Ballot Deadline, 5:00 p.m.
Deadline for ballots for Lakeside Beach Civic Association Board of Directors election. Hill Country Homeowners Association Management will not count ballots received after this deadline. 

Thursday, October 1: Online Annual Meeting, 6:30 p.m.

The Lakeside Beach Civic Association will be holding its 2020 annual meeting virtually on Thursday, October 1, 2020 at 6:30pm, which will include election results for five open positions on the board of directors. A formal notice with more information will be mailed and emailed in two weeks. 

If  you wish to be a candidate for the board, please fill out and the candidate application on the Hill Country Homeowners website www.hillcountryhomeowners.com or contact Karen Bruett, [email protected], phone 512-422-9479, for a printed copy of the board application.
 The deadline to apply is Monday, August 31, 2020 by 9am.

NOTICE OF BOAT RAMP DAMAGE
With the lake down substantially, it was discovered that the left (northern) side of the boat ramp was damaged by the floods. The main ramp is still intact, but the area that was extended has broken off just below the surface. When you launch your watercraft, make sure you stay to the right (South, Alligator Creek) side of the ramp.  Warning signs will be posted.  Due to fluctuating lake levels it is not known when ramp can be repaired.
 
WATERFRONT GATE UNDER REPAIR
The control box to the waterfront gate is in for repair, so the waterfront gate has been opened to allow property owner access. Please be sure that when you are at the lake that your vehicle has the current vehicle sticker, and that guest vehicles have the guest pass hung from the inside rearview mirror. We hope that repairs will be complete this week.
 
BURN PILE TO BE CLOSED FOR SAFETY REASONS
With the current burn ban and large amount of new construction and lot clearing, the community burn pile has become unmanageable and is also a fire and safety hazard. Until further notice the burn pile will be closed and signs will be posted. Property owners (or their contractors) who are found violating this closure will have their lake access revoked.
 
AUG 28TH - LAST CHANCE TO PAY YOUR ASSESSMENTS / ESTABLISH A PAYMENT PLAN
Payment deadline for assessments was April 30th – which was extended to May 30th due to the pandemic. As of mid-August, there are a still a few lots with unpaid assessments and no arrangements for a payment plan. If you have not paid your assessments, you have until August 28th to either make payment or establish a payment plan before being turned over to a collection agency.  Please phone Hill Country Homeowners at 800-998-6721 to discuss your payment options.
 
As many of you know, late and non-payment has been an ongoing issue for Lakeside Beach. The new management company has beenable to be more proactive in collections. Not paying your dues on a timely basis puts a burden on all property owners. The Association uses annual assessments to pay for utilities, insurance, property taxes, road repair & maintenance, grounds maintenance, building maintenance, gate maintenance, pool maintenance, accounting and tax preparation, mailings and invoicing, and other administrative costs.

A REMINDER OF GOVERNOR’S EXECUTIVE ORDER
Governor Greg Abbott renewed his COVID-19 Disaster Declaration on August 8. Because of the restrictions on public gatherings and the safety of residents and property owners, all Lakeside Beach Board meetings are being conducted online. Login information and links will be posted on the Lakeside Beach and Hill Country Homeowners websites. Everyone should have received a welcome letter and email from Hill Country Homeowners along with your 2020 assessments.  This letter includes information about how to register on their website, and how to make your assessment payments.  If you have any questions please contact them directly:

Annual assessments remain $150/lot for 2020.  The board agreed to extend payment terms to 60 days (payments due May 31) and all property owners have the opportunity to establish a payment plan.  To do so, go to the Hill Country Homeowners Website and choose "submit requests", and then choose "payment plan request".  Payment plan terms and conditions are established by state law, and approval is not automatic.  Once approved you will be notified by email.

For the safety of our community all non-essential meetings have been cancelled or postponed.  The pool opening has been delayed.  The community center remains closed.  We ask that all property owners and residents be mindful of social distancing at the waterfront and take appropriate precautions.
