Quick update on the water front situation - All of the Highland Lakes are currently CLOSED due to extremely dangerous conditions. This includes Lake Travis. No boating, canoeing, kayaking, or any other activities are permitted. Current Lake Travis water level (10/17/2018 3pm) is approaching 700 ft and LCRA anticipates that water levels could reach 710 ft by Friday 10/19/2018. As a point of reference, the entrance gate to the lake sits at about 722 ft.
The fishing dock, which was damaged during the water release last week, was damaged even further this week, and remains underwater. We will not know the extent of the damage until the water recedes. All of the cabanas are also under water, and likely sustained damage as well.
